Woonsocket - Muriel V. Lucier, 88, of Diamond Hill Road, died Sunday, October 7, 2018 in Landmark Medical Center with her family by her side.
Born in Woonsocket, daughter of the late Joseph Efrim and Rena (Perron) Lucier.
Muriel attended several Religious Schools in Woonsocket. She loved to spend time with her late canine companion, her pride and her joy, her beautiful Ladybell, and more recently her new canine companion, Gracie. She loved reading, especially relating to Politics and English Royalty. She also enjoyed Classical Music, the louder the better.
Muriel volunteered at age 13 during WWII at Woonsocket Hospital. At 18 she worked in the OR as an Aide with on the job training. Then she worked on several floors in the Hospital including the Pharmacy. She also worked in the Utilization Review Department adding up to 59 years of service in the Woonsocket Hospital prior to retiring.
She leaves behind 3 nephews, Gerry St. Germain of Lincoln, Jon St. Germain and his wife Barbara of VA and Steven St. Germain of NC. Her loyal friend of 52 years, Cecile St. Pierre. She also leaves her 2 elves, Marc Bergeron and George Boucher.
Her funeral will be held on Friday, October 12, 2018 at 9 AM from the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. Woonsocket, RI 02895 with a Mass of Christian burial at 10 AM in All Saints Church, Rathbun St, Woonsocket, RI. Burial will be in St. Jean the Baptist Cemetery Bellingham, MA.
Relatives and friends are invited; calling hours are on Thursday, October 11, 2018 from 5-7 PM. In lieu of flowers; donations to St Judes Children’s Hospital or an Animal Shelter of your choice in her memory would be appreciated.
