Woonsocket — Milton M. Monteiro, 69, of Rebekah St. passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2018 in Landmark Medical Center with his family by his side. Born in Woonsocket, son of Dorothy (Farquhar) Monteiro of Woonsocket and the late Milton T. Monteiro.

He worked as a Union laborer for Local 560 until retiring. Milton was a United States Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam era. He was a lifetime member of the IWC and a member of the Blackstone Polish Hall. He was also a past member of the Country View Country Club. He was an avid car enthusiast and enjoyed playing golf.

Besides his mother Dorothy, he is survived by his stepdaughter Tina Trudeau and her husband Omer of Alabama. His siblings, Barbara Simas and her husband Buzzy of North Scituate, Robert J. Monteiro of Woonsocket, Edward Monteiro and his wife Margaret of Woonsocket, Deborah Boisclair and her husband Alan of Woonsocket, and David Monteiro of Woonsocket. Three step-grandchildren.

He was also the brother of the late Elaine M. Tokarski and Eileen F. Carpentier.

His funeral will be held on Monday, July 9, 2018 at 9 AM from the S. DIPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. Woonsocket, RI 02895 with a Mass of Christian at 10 AM in St. Charles Church North Main St. Woonsocket, RI. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Jean the Baptist Cemetery, Bellingham, MA.

Relatives and friends are invited; calling hours are on Sunday from 4-7 PM.

I’m so sorry to hear about the early passing of my cousin Milton. My condolences and deepest sympathies to my Aunt Dorothy, my Monteiro cousins, their families, our entire family and all his friends. Rest in peace with all of our family members that passed before you cousin Milton.
