Cumberland — Michael M. Jordao, 40, of Old Willis Rd, died, unexpectedly on Thursday, February 1, 2018 in Miriam Hospital with his family by his side. He leaves behind the love of his life of 17 years, Christina Lopes of Cumberland, RI.

Born in Woonsocket, son of Manuel and Maria (Silva) Jordao of Woonsocket.

Michael worked as a CNA and Med Tech for Kindred Hospital in Stoughton, MA for several years prior to becoming a stay at home dad for his beloved son, Aidan.

He was a devoted stay at home dad who took care of his autistic son whom he loved very much. He loved going to the beach, camping, dancing , and bowling.

Besides his parents Manuel and Maria, he is survived by his son, Aidan Jordao and his stepdaughter, Samantha Johnson both of Cumberland. Two brothers, Manuel and John Jordao both of Woonsocket. His nieces and nephews, Anthony, Gabriel, Gianna, Liana, and Shayla. And his brother in law, Rui Lopes.

His funeral will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at 9 AM from the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1583 Diamond Hill Rd, Woonsocket, RI with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Anthony Church Greene St. Woonsocket, Burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery, Blackstone, MA.

Relatives and friends are invited; calling hours are on Monday, February 5, 2018 from 6-8 PM.

So sorry for you loss on such a great person. I remember Michael as a young boy leaving his grandfathers house with his mother and walking home. If I was outside with my dog he always wanted to pet her. he was such a great kid. So sorry for your loss and losing him at such a young age. May he RIP!!

It is very sad to know that Michael passed awyso young.
