Woonsocket — Edgar Morris, 65, of Burnside Ave. died, Saturday, January 12, 2019 at home. He was the husband of the late Laurie Wright who was the love of his life and cherished the time they had together.
Born in Little Rock, Arkansas, son of the late Edgar and Ethel Lee (Rogers) Morris.
Edgar worked as a presser for several dry cleaners in the area.
He was a United States Army Veteran.
He was an avid worker and also enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by one son, Lawrence Wright of Woonsocket. Eight siblings, Nemiah Armstrong of Woonsocket, Ida Mae Morris of Pennsylvania, Mary Deming and Priscilla Cyler both of Woonsocket, Lonnie Morris of California, Tyron Morris, Diane Morris, and Ishamel “Jeffrey“ Morris all of Pennsylvania. Three grandchildren, Lhyana, Letty, and Lawrence E. J. Wright. And a host of nieces and nephews.
He also was proceeded in death by his siblings, Rosie Lester Morris, Ruth Morris Jones, Ethel Lee Morris, Edward “Pop” Morris and Ricky Morris.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the American Legion Post 85, 870 River St. Woonsocket, RI on Saturday, January 26, 2019 from 3-7 PM. Military Honors will take place at 4 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
